1. Who this policy covers

This website is a request service for drainage work. The operator of this website runs it and receives the requests that visitors send. The engineer who takes a job runs a separate business. So the engineer handles your details under their own terms once they have them. Ask the engineer how they use them, because this policy covers only this website.

2. What the request form collects

The form asks for the details below. You choose what to type, and the address is optional. The notes box takes free text, so leave out anything you do not want to share.

• Your postcode
• Your address, if you give one
• The service you need
• The notes you write about the job

The form has no email field. When you send it, the website also records your IP address and browser details. These help block spam and misuse, although they also stay with your request.

3. What happens to your request

The form sends your request to a Cloudflare Worker. The Worker stores the request in a database. A spam check runs first. A request that passes the check is emailed on, so an engineer can respond, and the email carries the same details you typed. A request the check flags as spam is stored but not emailed on. If the database write fails, the email is still sent, marked as possible spam when flagged, so the request does not get lost.

The Worker does not take payment, and the site asks for no card details. Do not put bank or card numbers in the notes box, because no part of the site needs them.

4. Address lookup

The form has an optional address lookup. When you use it, the website sends your postcode to getAddress.io, which returns a list of addresses. You can skip the lookup and type your address yourself. The lookup needs the postcode only, so the site sends no name or phone number to getAddress.io.

5. Analytics and cookies

The website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits. Analytics loads only after you click Accept on the cookie banner. Consent Mode v2 starts in the denied state, and Reject keeps analytics off. The site sets no advertising cookies, yet the cookie page lists every cookie by name. Read the Cookie Policy for the cookie names and how to change your choice.

6. Why the operator uses your details

The operator uses your details for these purposes:

• To pass your request on so an engineer can respond
• To answer emails you send about the website
• To block spam and misuse of the form
• To understand how visitors use the site, if you accept analytics

The operator does not sell your details. However, the request does reach an engineer, because that is the point of the form. Send the form only if you are happy for that to happen.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to:

• See the personal data held about you
• Correct data that is wrong
• Delete your data
• Object to how your data is used
