Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 October 20261. What this website is
Blocked Drains Cleared Dundee is a request service for drainage work in Dundee and surrounding areas. You send your details through the form. The request is passed on so an engineer can respond. The website does not carry out drainage work itself, so it cannot do a job for you.
2. The engineer is a separate business
The engineer who takes your job runs a separate business. So the engineer sets the price, the arrival time and any guarantee. Any contract for the work is between you and that engineer, because the website is not a party to it.
3. Quotes and prices
Ask the engineer for a written quote before work starts. If the job changes on site, ask for the new price in writing before work continues. The website shows no fixed prices. Cost ranges on these pages come from published guides, and they are not quotes. Prices can still differ a lot from one job to the next.
4. Payment
You pay the engineer, not this website. Agree the payment method and the due date with the engineer. The website takes no payment and asks for no card details, since the engineer is the one you pay.
5. Cancelling
Sending the form does not book a visit, so there is nothing to cancel on this website. If an engineer offers a visit, agree the cancellation terms with them. Tell the engineer as early as you can if your plans change, because that gives them time to plan.
6. Guarantees
The website gives no guarantee on drainage work. Ask the engineer what guarantee covers the work, and ask for the terms in writing. Keep your quote and any invoice, because they show what the engineer agreed to do.
7. Liability
The operator of this website is not the engineer and does not do the work. So the operator is not responsible for the engineer's work, price or timing. However, nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law.
8. Access and safety
Give the engineer safe access to the drains on your property. Tell them about any hazard before they start. If anyone is in danger, call 999 first. A clear route to the drain also makes the job easier, since the engineer can start sooner.
9. Information on this website
The pages give general information and are not legal, insurance or engineering advice. Who owns a drain can depend on your title deeds. Check them, or ask a solicitor, if you share a pipe. The answer matters, because it decides who pays.
10. Complaints
Raise a problem with the work with the engineer first. While a question about this website can go to the operator, a problem with the work belongs with the engineer. For a question about this website, use the online request form.
11. Changes to these terms
The operator may update these terms. The latest version stays on this page, with the date at the top. Check back if you use the site often. Read the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy as well.
